I stumbled across this just now quite by accident. Probably nothing new to Americans, but this is a short interview with Apollo 8 / 13 astronaut Jim Lovell on The Colbert Report from October 2007.
Particularly apposite, given the new treadmill for the ISS will be named “Colbert” following a recent campaign; following tonight’s fuelling, Colbert broadcast a message on NASA TV. The shuttle Discovery is due to launch in about two hours, carrying said treadmill.
Here’s the interview:

Now if Jon Stewart would just get Al Bean on The Daily Show, my life would be complete.
God speed, Discovery STS-128.
